Paula Hill

Paula B. Hill, 85, of Sanford, passed away at her home on Friday, October 30, 2015 after a lengthy illness.Paula was born in Greenfield, Massachusetts to Clara and Paul Beane. She graduated from Thornton Academy in Saco and later worked at Beane Nursing Home in Saco and Notre Dame Hospital in Biddeford. Paula married Bryan M. Hill 42 years ago in Hernando, Mississippi. Together they traveled to Hawaii, Colorado and Maryland where he served in the U.S. Army before eventually returning to Maine when they chose to retire.Paula was an exceptionally warm, compassionate and loving person who enjoyed people and established several long lasting friendships wherever she went. She created lovely homes for her family, baked delicious goodies and knitted warm slippers, baby booties and blankets for her friends and family. She loved sitting by the ocean, music and dancing, babies and animals and was an all-around beautiful woman who will be forever missed by all who knew and loved her. She touched the lives of many.Paula is survived by her husband Bryan; her daughters Bonnie Cole and Maureen LeClair, both of Lyman; a stepson, Brent Hill of Wells; a step-daughter, Renai Hill of Montana; a sister, Bonnie Tsobanakis of Alfred; a brother, Paul "Teddy" Beane; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.At Paula's request arrangements will be private.Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.To leave a message of condolence for the family please click on the condolences tab to the left.
