Priscilla Herzig

Holiday, FL - Priscilla (Pat) Herzig, 82, died Wednesday, September 5, 2007, at the Southern Pines Nursing Facility in New Port Richey, FL.Priscilla was born September 9, 1924, in Sanford. She attended St. Ignatius High School and was a long time resident of Sanford. During WWII, Priscilla worked at the South Portland Shipyard in the construction of Liberty ships. The majority of her working career was spent at General Electric in Somersworth, NH. Priscilla left Sanford in the mid 1970's when her husband Herbert was reassigned to Schenectady, NY and then to Owensboro, KY. In 1983 they retired to Florida. They enjoyed golf, cooking, dancing and spending summers in Maine. Her husband Herbert Herzig predeceased her on June 8, 2003. She is survived by her son Michael Allaire and his wife Joanne of Sanford and a grandson, Shawn Allaire of Pemaquid, Maine.Interment will be at St. Ignatius Cemetery.Local arrangements are by Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter St., Sanford.To leave a message of condolence please use the "condolences" tab to the left.
