Lorraine M. Anderson

Lorraine M. Anderson, 82, died on Sunday, May 15 at Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford after a brief illness.She was born at home in Hollis on August 24, 1933 to Herbert and Elizabeth (Emory) Maddox. She married Francis Anderson and they lived in his native Massachusetts, coming to Maine on weekends to build a home in Hollis. After the home was finished, they moved there full time. In later years they moved to Shapleigh.Lorraine was a lifelong homemaker who loved gardening and was considered to have an amazing green thumb. She enjoyed simple pleasures including going for rides and dining out. Survivors include her husband, Francis Anderson of Shapleigh.A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, May 19 at 10 A.M. to 12 P.M. at Carll Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale with a burial immediately following at Hillside Cemetery in Hollis.Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.
