Bobby M. Hem

Bobby M. Hem, 26, of Sanford, died on October 26, 2013 in Arundel.Bobby was born in Modesto, California on January 13, 1987 to Rin Hem and Srars Meas. He grew up in Sanford where he attended local schools, graduating from Sanford High School in 2005. Following high school he held several jobs in the restaurant industry and had most recently been employed as a chef at the Kennebunkport Inn.Bobby enjoyed cooking, baking and catering events for his family and friends. In high school he enjoyed playing sports including football and wrestling. Bobby was affectionately known as "Chocolate Bear." He was a very friendly and caring person who always put the needs of others before his own. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted son, brother and friend and will be dearly missed.Surviving are his mother, Srars Meas of Sanford; his father, Rin Hem of Modesto, California; two brothers, Robbie Hem of Sanford and Charlie Meas of Sanford; a sister, Erika Hem of Modesto, California; and uncle, Kevin Mim of Manteca, California and several extended family members in the Walsh and Meas Families.Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Friday, November 1st at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home located at 580 Main Street in Springvale. A funeral will be held at the funeral home at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 2nd.Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the American Red Cross, 2401 Congress Street, Portland, Maine 04102.Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.
