Steven E. Hatch
Steven E. Hatch passed away suddenly on October 1, 2018 at Maine Medical Center. He was a quiet man with a rough exterior but a kind heart.He was the oldest of five Children, born on March 6, 1956.He met and fell in love with his wife Ruthie in the early eighties and was with her until her passing in 2011.Steve loved his children-Wendy, Karen and Mike and his step-children Vernon, Shelly and Jennifer and of course all his grandchildren, whom he enjoyed spending time with, watching them laugh and grow.In his younger years he would spend his weekends taking his family to visit his mother, "Nana" and Grandparents, "Big Nana" and "Popeye".He also enjoyed taking his children fishing, whether in the old cemetery pond, various bridges around town or to his favorite place the jetty at the Colony Beach in Kennebunkport. Steve loved the battle of catching a striper!!In his older years he enjoyed taking his grandchildren Nevaeh and Brady shopping with him. It made him happy to spend time with them as he loved them dearly.He spent his spare time watching TV-The Red Sox, science fiction shows and documentaries. He enjoyed family, visiting his brothers, sister and his close friends.He liked Halloween and would always decorate his porch and pass out candy. He enjoyed sitting on his porch and watching people, the birds and squirrels. He enjoyed fresh tomatoes and would plant some each year. He also loved his many nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles and aunts. In his working years he worked at Hussey Seating in North Berwick, Maine building bleacher seating and AeroFab in Sanford, Maine building airplanes.Steve is survived by his Brothers Scott and his wife Laurie of Cape Porpoise, Maine, Dana and his wife Misty of Biddeford, Maine, Stanley of Biddeford, Maine and his sister Pam and her husband Dave of Sanford, Maine.He is preceded by his mother Lois A.
