Ruth E. Hatch

Ruth E. Hatch, 57, of Sanford, died on Sunday, June 5, 2011 at Maine Medical Center in Portland.Ruth grew up in Lebanon and attended local schools. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was an animal lover and was particularly fond of her cats. Ruth was an active woman and was always on the go. She was an outgoing with many friends and will be dearly missed. Ruth is survived by her husband, Steven Hatch of Sanford; two sons, Michael Hatch and his fiancee Kristin Carey of Springvale and Vernon Bowden of Sanford; two daughters, Shelly Bowden of Springvale and Jennifer Bowden of Sanford; two step-daughters, Wendy Faucett of Alfred and Karen Melanson and her husband Ted; a brother, Everett Winslow and his wife Gail and several grandchildren.A graveside service will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, June 10th at the Oakdale Cemetery located on Twombley Road in Sanford.Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the American Cancer Society, New England Division, 1 Bowdoin Mill Island Suite 300, Topsham, ME 04086.Arrangements are under the direction of Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home in Sanford.To leave a message of condolence for the family please click on the condolences tab to the left.
