Toni D. Guillemette
Toni Dee Guillemette, 56 passed away on April 12, 2018 at SMHC surrounded by her closest loved ones after a long illness. Toni was born on February 18, 1962 at Goodall Hospital to Jack and Gloria Rankin. She grew up in a large family in Berwick Maine. She attended Noble High School and was a member of the class of 1981. After high school she spent many years as an employee of Sprague Electric filling many different roles. In later years she worked at Paras Pizza in Sanford. On October 12, 1979 she married her high school sweetheart John Guillemette and later that year they welcomed their first daughter, Amy Lynn. Their family expanded again in 1986 with the addition of their second daughter, Stephanie Marie. She was a phenomenal mother and "her girls" were her world. Toni spent her short 56 years living life to the fullest and finding the beauty in everything. She loved the ocean, springtime, blustery days, and her little family. Her positive attitude and strength inspired others and carried her through many tough times. In 2011 with the birth of her first grandchild, Parker she took on what she considered to be her greatest role "Grammy". Her love only intensified as she welcomed Chase in 2013, Emily in 2016, and with the news that Everleigh will join the family in October of 2018. Toni was also proud to be a step-grandmother to Danny and Linda. Toni always put "her babies" first- even through her illness. She loved them "to the moon and back". **Special Messages for Grammy:"I love you Grammy. You were the best Grammy ever. I have pictures and a Grammy-bear so I will always remember you. And I know you loved me too" ~ Parker King (7)"I love you Grammy. I liked your stories and telling you my jokes". ~ Chase King (5). Toni is survived by her loving husband of almost 39 years, her daughter Amy and Her husband Michael Austin, her step grand children Daniel and Linda Austin and baby Everleigh (Arriving October 2018) all of Sanford, her daughter Stephanie and her husband Justin King and their children Parker, Chase, and Emily King of Sanford. She is also survived by a large extended family including; brothers, sisters, in-laws, nieces and nephews. Her family would like to express their gratitude for the exceptional care that she received through her illness. The care and concern of the doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals at Wentworth Douglass Hospital, Wentworth Douglass Hospice, and Southern Maine Healthcare made all the difference in such a difficult time. A special and heartfelt thank you to Roland Guillemette for the countless trips to Boston during the 3 and half years of her illness. There will not be any services at Toni's request. A small celebration of life with her immediate family will take place at a later date.
