Frederick W. Greaves

Frederick W. Greaves, Jr., 55, a longtime resident of Georgia, formerly of Sanford, died unexpectedly at home in Dallas on October 16.He was born on April 12, 1965, the son of Frederick W. and Patricia (Dubois) Greaves, attended Sanford schools and was a 1985 graduate of Sanford High School.After high school, Fred enlisted in the US Army where he served for 20 years, retiring with the rank of staff sergeant. Survivors include his mother, Patricia Greaves of Sanford, his father, Frederick W. Greaves, Sr. of Rochester, NH, a sister, Diane Goodwin and her husband Dana of Sanford and several nieces and nephews.A private committal service with military honors will be held at the Southern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Springvale.The services will be live streamed on Facebook on the Black Funeral Homes page.Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.
