Kenneth W. Goodrich

Kenneth Wayne Goodrich, Sr. 75, of North Berwick, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2011 at the Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover.Kenneth was born in Sanford on July 16th, 1936 to Elmer and Miriam (Ridley) Goodrich, Sr. He was employed for many years as a boiler operator at the Portsmouth Naval Ship Yard. After retiring, Ken became an active golfer and a transport driver for York County Community Action. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.Kenneth was predeceased by a sister, Norma.Surviving are a daughter, Kandyleigh (Goodrich) Provencher; a son, Kenneth Wayne Goodrich, Jr.; five brothers, Elmer, Blaine, Edward, Lindsay, Joel and three sisters, Barbara, Karen and Judy.A graveside service with military honors will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 16th at the Southern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery located on Stanley Road in Springvale. A small gathering will be held at the American Legion Hall in Springvale following the service.Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Hyder Family Hospice House.
