SPRINGVALE - Pauline R. Godin, 85, of Springvale passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving extended family and friends. She was born December 16th, 1932 in Biddeford to Yvonne (Gonneville) and Edmour Cote. Pauline graduated from Thornton High School in 1951 and was married to the love of her life Joseph (Cuffy) Godin in 1955 until his untimely passing in 1973. They shared one son, David.Over the years, Pauline was employed with Adam's Trucking as a Bookkeeper. After taking some time off to raise her son, she returned to work at Goodall Hospital where she was employed as a receptionist in central registration. She was most proud to work for Dr. Daniel Mazza for several years as his receptionist after which time she finally decided to retire. Pauline truly enjoyed spending time with her extended family and friends with whom she traveled to Florida, Montreal, Atlantic City, Las Vegas and took a cruise to the Caribbean. Her favorite trips were to Foxwoods, where she visited several times a year. Her favorite pastime was sitting in the sun by the pool and watching the kids swim and play. She also spent hours completing find-a-word puzzles when she was not able to be outside. Pauline was pre-deceased by her parents, her husband Cuffy, sister Marielle Butland and brother Lionel Cote. She leaves behind her son David Kanda of Hawaii, a sister Justine Davis of Saco and a special nephew Mark Butland of Old Orchard Beach.Poppy will be sadly missed by her extended, adopted family Sharon & David Pray with whom she lived, Dawn Pray of East Millinocket, Ross and Jessica Pray of Springvale and their daughters Emerson and Charlotte Pray and Donald & Peggy Gagne of Sanford.
