Taylor Jaye Gilday, 42 years old, wife of John Gilday, of Acton, Maine, formerly of Beverly, MA., died Monday March 18th, 2002, from injuries sustained in a car accident in Acton.Daughter of Joan (McKinnon) Chouinard of Beverly, MA., and the late Charles Chouinard. Taylor was born on August 19th, 1959 at Cable Memorial Hospital in Ipswich, MA.A dedicated mother of four children, Ivy, Noah, Elias and Rosemary, Taylor spent the past 9 years home schooling her children. They enjoyed many activities together such as music, painting and library outings. Recently, they became involved in activities at the Sanford-Springvale YMCA, including swimming and tap dancing; an activity Taylor was excitedly enjoying with her daughter Ivy.The Gilday family is active members at Hope Presbyterian Church in Portsmouth, NH. Here, the family seeks to glorify God in many areas of service, including musically, as Taylor loved singing with her husband, John.A former dental assistant at Dentcare, Inc. in Danvers, MA, Taylor is survived by her husband John and their four children, Ivy, Rosemary, Noah, and Elias; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, France and Jack Coombs of Beverly, MA, Renee and Harry Linde of Lawrence, MA, Courtney and Chuck Noble of Sanford, ME and Holly Chouinard of Danvers, MA.Also surviving are parents-in-law, Tom and Fran Gilday of Beverly, MA, and four brothers-in-law and five sisters-in-law, Tom Gilday of Florida, Mike and Sioux Gilday of Salem, MA, Jimmy and Sue Gilday of North Carolina, Patrick and Carla Gilday of New York, Eileen O'Keefe of New Mexico, Karen and Bill Baldwin of New York, Mary and Rob Duggan of Danvers, MA and Maureen and Ramon Diaz of California, and 32 nieces and nephews.A period of visitation will be held on Friday, March 22, 2002 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at the Heald Funeral Home, 580 Main St. Springvale, ME. An 11:00 Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2002 at the Pleasant St. Free Baptist Church of Springvale.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gilday Family Memorial Fund, C/O Sanford Institution for Savings, Sanford, ME 04073.
