Emile J. Gagnon

Emile J. Gagnon, 93, of Wells, passed away on Saturday June 15, 2013 at the Veterans Nursing Home in Scarborough. He was born in Groveton, NH, on November 2, 1919 a son of the late John and Mary Gagnon. He served in the US Army during WWII. He was stationed in the Philippines where he was involved in the construction of barracks, hospitals and runways.He is predeceased by his parents as well as two brothers, Armand Gagnon, Albert Gagnon, one sister, Eva "Vicky" Tessier.He is survived by his children, Barbara J. Chase of Wells, Shirley M. Chase of Wells and Michael E. Gagnon of Wells, seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren.A graveside service with military honors will be held on Friday June 21st at 11AM at the Southern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Springvale. There will be a luncheon and reception immediately following at the Elk's Lodge, 386 Bald Hill Road, Wells, Maine.
