Adrien Gagne

Adrien J. Gagne, 65, of Sanford and formerly of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday March 22nd, 2008 at the Newton Center in Sanford. He was born on August 11, 1942 in Burlington, Vermont, a son of Simeon and Bernadette (LaPlante) Gagne.On October 23, 1971 he married the former Lucille 'Louise' LaRoche at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Sanford. He then moved to Cleveland, Tennessee. For 19 1/2 years he worked as a maintenance man at St. Therse of Lisieux Parish in Cleveland. He was also a communicant of the parish and a 4th Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus. In 2006 he moved back to Sanford and became a communicant of St. Ignatius Parish and a 4th Degree member of the of the Rev. W. Robert Batchelder General Assembly #0357 Knights of Columbus.He is predeceased by one brother, Bernard Gagne.He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Louise Gagne of Sanford, two sisters, Jeanne D'arc Gagne of Burlington, VT, Christine Snyder of Richford, VT, three brothers, Andre Gagne of St. Albans, VT, Herve Gagne of Swanton, VT, Leonard Gagne of Quebec, Canada, many nieces and nephews and cousins.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 1 :00 PM at St. Therse of Lisieux, St. Ignatius Church in Sanford. Visiting hours will be on Friday from 10 :00 am until 12 :45 PM at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford.
