Pauline E. Gagne
Pauline E. Gagne, 86, of Manor Circle and a long time resident of Whitman St. in Sanford, passed away on Friday, January 19th, after a brief illness.She was the widow of Ernest Gagne who passed away in June 1995. She was born on October 17, 1920 in Stoneham, MA , the daughter of Edward J. Landers and Dorothy P. (Hooper) Landers. She was raised in Haverhill, MA and was a graduate of Haverhill High School. She was known for her generosity to family, friends and anyone in need. She loved the holidays and would invite neighbors and friends who had nowhere to go to her Christmas Eve buffets. She was an avid reader her entire life, reading a book a day in her later years. She shared her books with friends and donated many books to local facilities. Above all, she loved her family and will be greatly missed and forever loved by her brother, James E. Landers with whom she resided. Her daughters, Janet Burbank and her husband Richard of Limington, ME, Doris Jaskunas and her husband Richard of Salisbury, MA, Elaine Sullivan and her husband Timothy of So. Windsor, CT and her son, Donald E. Gagne of Barrington, NH. She leaves 5 grandchildren, Mark Williams and his wife Kimberly, Rick Theriault, Katherine Schiessl and her husband Gary, Timothy Theriault and James Gagne. Also surviving are 6 great-grandchildren, Ashley & Kristina Williams, Courtney and Jonathan Schiessl and Ryan and Zachary Theriault. She is also survived by her lifelong friend, Margery Mason of Auburn, MA. She was pre-deceased by her husband, son-in-law Larry Theriault and daughter-in-law Mary Gagne. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 26, at St. Therese of Lisieux- Holy Family Church, North Avenue, Sanford, ME at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made toThe Animal Welfare Society, P.O.
