Roy B. Estabrook

Roy B. Estabrook, 91, of Sanford, died April 9 at the Newton Center in Sanford after a lengthy illness.He was born in Saco on December 22, 1916 the son of John and Daisy (Bard) Estabrook. He graduated from Sanford High School in 1937.Mr. Estabrook was employed with the Goodall-Sanford Textile Mills until they closed in 1954. He also worked for a time for Wasco Products.He retired from the Sanford Fire Department in 1976 with the rank of Captain after 22 years of service.In the 1950's he volunteered as a coach for the Sanford Little League.His wife, the former Evelyn Harrison died last year.Survivors include 2 sons, David W. Estabrook of Yuma, AZ, Roy B. Estabrook of Silver, NC, 2 daughters, Judith Brierley of Sanford, Brenda Bragg of Las Vegas, NV, 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.Services will be private with burial to be later in the spring at Oakdale Cemetery in Sanford.
