Ralph B. Dykeman

Ralph B. Dykeman, 64, of Springvale, Maine, passed away on Friday September 14, 2007 at the H.D. Goodall Hospital in Sanford, Maine. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was a son of Harold and Helen (Ballard) Dykeman.He attended schools in New York and Connecticut.Prior to his retirement Ralph had been employed several years as an Interstate Trucker. Prior to moving to Maine seven years ago he resided in Attleboro and Taunton, MA. During these years he was actively involved in coaching Junior Football and the basketball team at the Winthrop Street Baptist Church. He is predeceased by his parents, Harold and Helen DykemanHe is survived by his wife of 20 years, Marilyn (Champlin) Dykeman of Springvale, Maine, two sons, Peter B. Dykeman of Cleveland, OH and Robert H. Dykeman of Brockton, MA, one stepdaughter, Tara Bartish of Chesapeake, VA, one sister, Lois Ryea and her husband, Clifford of Sanford, five grandchildren, four nephews and three nieces.A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday September 19th at 2pm at the Oakdale Cemetery in Sanford.Arrangements are under the direction of the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street in Springvale, Maine.
