Edward Dupont

Edward R. Dupont, 69, of Sanford, died on Thursday, July 3, 2008 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.Edward was born in Sanford on September 15, 1938 to Arthur and Yvonne Morin Dupont and attended local schools. He worked as a trailer truck driver, operated his own taxi business and worked as a heavy equipment operator. He also worked at the transfer station in Shapleigh and as a driver for the Humpty Dumpty Potato Chips Company. He enjoyed playing pool, doing word circle search puzzles, playing cards and cribbage.He was predeceased by his parents, grandparents, a brother, Paul and a daughter.He is survived by his loving wife, Louise Dupont of Sanford; two step-sons, Peter and Patrick Ainsworth of Springvale; five daughters, two brothers-in-law, Raymond J. Goodrich and his wife Linda and Felix S. Goodrich, all from Sanford and several grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House C/O Hospice of Southern Maine, 180 U.S. Route 1, Scarborough, ME 04074.Arrangements are under the direction of Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home in Springvale.
