Henriette Dumont

Henriette C. Dumont, 89, of Sanford, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2009 at the H.D. Goodall Hospital in Sanford. Born on November 13, 1919, she was a daughter of Edmond and Olivine (Gagne) Camire. She attended local Sanford schools.She had been employed at the former Sanford Goodall mills. She also worked at Guillemette's Market and along with her husband, Henri, owned and operated Dumont's Market on High Street for many years, retiring in 1990.A lifelong communicant of Holy Family Parish, she was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne. She was a CYO advisor for many years and volunteered countless hours for Camp Waban and the telethon. She enjoyed bowling, cross country skiing and travelling with family and friends.She is predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Henri C. Dumont. She is survived by one brother, Ronald Camire of Sanford, and by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 :00 AM at St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church.
