Germaine Dubois

Germaine Y. Dubois, 85, of Sanford, passed away on Saturday, October 8, at her residence. She was born in Windsor, P.Q., Canada on October 2, 1926 a daughter of the late Oscar and Maria ( Lavalliere) Pruneau. She moved to Sanford in 1947 where she was a communicant of Holy Family church. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella. She had been employed by Universal Shoe as well as Allied Novelty and Shoe Company and Encor shoe in Rochester where she retired from in 1989.She is predeceased by her husband, Lucien J. Dubois, one daughter, Jeannine Stansbury.She is survived by her children, Serge Dubois of California, Richard Dubois of North Waterboro, Vivian Sherman of California and Helene Cotten of Sanford, grandchildren, Mike Dubois, Renee Schultz, Missy McCready, Shawn Dubois, Nicole Levesque and Chantal Dubois, great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kelsey and Sofia, one brother, Lucien Pruneau of Windsor, P.Q., Canada. She was loved by everyone. She will be greatly missed Visiting hours will be on Sunday from 2 to 4PM at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford. A funeral will be celebrated at the funeral home on Monday at 10AM. Burial will be at the Maine Veterans Cemetery in Augusta on Tuesday at 1PM.Condolences may be expressed at www.blackfuneralhomes.com
