Carl B. DiPietro

Carl Boone DiPietro, 23, of Ocean Park, died on Monday, December 3, 2012 at Southern Maine Medical Center in Biddeford after a courageous battle with cancer.Carl was born in Portland on February 19, 1989 to Lawrence and Catherine (Clark) DiPietro. He grew up in Freeport where he attended local schools. He volunteered at Freeport Community Services and was a participant in both the winter and summer Special Olympics. He was also a regular at the Casco Bay Y.M.C.A. where he was enrolled in the Adaptive Services Program. He was a very artistic person and enjoyed making models. He will be remembered as a loving son, brother, grandson, uncle nephew and friend and will be dearly missed.Carl was predeceased by his father, Lawrence C. DiPietro.Surviving are his mother, Catherine Clark of Ocean Park, his sister Gina DiPietro of Freeport; three brothers, Lawrence, James and Antonio DiPietro all of Portland his favorite Auntie Jo, his grandmother, aunts and uncles.A private graveside service will be held at the Southern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery.Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Freeport Community Services, P.O.
