Francoise C. Desrochers, 82, of Sanford, passed away peacefully in the loving company of herfamily at home on July 27, 2014 after a brief illness.Francoise was born in Black Lake, Canada on March 4, 1932 to Valerie and Joseph Binette. She attended schools in Canada, later moving to Sanford. Francoise was married to Oscar J. Desrochers on June 24, 1950 and shared 35 years of marriage until his death in 1985.Francoise worked as a mender for 47 years. She enjoyed travel, was a gifted seamstress, enjoyedcooking, and spending time with her family. She was a woman of great faith and a devout communicant of St. Therese of Lisieux Parish in Sanford.Francoise is preceded in death by her husband Oscar Desrochers in 1985; two infant daughters, Marie and Ann Desrochers; brothers, Robert, Antonio, Roland, Raymond; sister Suzanne.Francoise is survived by her son Michael; son Brian Desrochers and his wife Lisa, grandchildren Lauren and Elijah; daughter Pamela Desrochers, grandson David and his wife Carrie, great granddaughters Tallulah, Lawless, and Gigi; daughter Kim Winling and her husband Rick, and grandchildren MacKay and Gannon, sisterTheresa L'Heureux and husband Robert; sister Madeline Desmarais; sister Pauline Peters and husband Donald; brother Andy Binette and wife Claudette.At Francoise's request there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church, located on North Avenue in Sanford. A celebration of life will follow at the St. Ignatius Parish Hall located on Riverside Avenue in Sanford.Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider sending a memorial contribution to Hospice of Southern Maine, 180 US Route 1, Scarborough, ME 04074 or online at http://www.hospiceofsouthernmaine.org.
