Doris B. Desrochers

ALFRED Doris B. Desrochers 80 died Friday May 16, 2008 at her home. She was born in Sanford on April 24, 1928, the youngest daughter of Wilfrid & Bertha (Pare) Bertrand and resided in Sanford and Alfred most of her life. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church in Sanford. She graduated from Sanford High School in 1947 and was employed as a bookkeeper at the former American Cyanamid and Sprague Electric in Sanford, and the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard .Doris grew up in the 'big band era' and one of her favorite pastimes was dancing.She was the loving mother of Thomas Guillemette and his wife Claire of York Beach, daughters Linda Soucy and her husband Donald of Bristol CT, and Joanne Wickwar of Alfred with whom she resided.She was also the beloved grandmother of Michelle Farrington, her husband Erik and children Sierra and Gabriella of Arlington, MA, Jennifer Maybee, her husband Mark and daughter Austen of Boulder, CO. Ryan Soucy and his wife Gyna and son William of Wilton, CT, Raegan Jeffrey and her husband Robert and children Victoria and Connor of Audubon, NJ and Brian Perkins of Alfred.Also surviving are her sister Lorraine Frechette of E. Hartford, CT, several nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters in law and many dear friends.Doris was predeaced by her husbands, Roger P. Guillemette in 1972 and Henry Desrochers in 2002, her parents and her sister Yvette Sieben.'
