Clifford M. Desjardins

Clifford M. Desjardins, 56, of Springvale, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 20, 2009 at his residence. He was born in Canada on December 1, 1952, a son of Maurice and Rachel (Grondin) Desjardins who settled in Presque Isle in 1960.For many years he had been employed in the banking industry as a mortgage lender in the Southern Maine area. In 1996 he married Patricia Crawford in Maui, HI and together they settled in Springvale in 2000 where they lived with their beloved cat and dog.He is predeceased by his wife, Patricia Crawford. He is also predeceased by his father, Maurice Desjardins.Cliff is survived by his mother, Rachel Desjardins, of Saco, his daughter, Emily Desjardins of Astoria, NY; three sisters: Nicole Moreau of Old Orchard Beach, Lori Desjardins of Saco, Robin Desjardins-Davis of South Portland; four brothers: John Desjardins of Presque Isle, Paul Desjardins of Portland, Dan Desjardins of Boston, and David Desjardins of Norwalk, CT, along with one niece and six nephews.Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be considered to Cliff's favorite local charity: Waban Projects, Inc., 5 Dunaway Drive, Sanford, Maine 04073.Arrangements are under the direction of the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale.
