Melissa M. Demers

Melissa M. Demers, 20, of Shapleigh, died on Thursday, July 24, 2008 at Maine Medical Center in Portland.Melissa was born in Rochester, NH on December 11, 1987 to Gerald and Cindy Demers. She grew up in Shapleigh where she attended local schools. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and had a great sense of humor. She also enjoyed boating, water skiing and spending time in and out of the water. While she was in school she had enjoyed participating in basketball. Melissa was a very proud aunt and enjoyed spending time with her niece and nephews. She will be remembered as a loving daughter, granddaughter, sister and aunt and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.Surviving are her parents, Gerald and Cindy Demers of Shapleigh; maternal grandparents, Gene and Marilyn Patten of Lebanon; a brother, Jamie Demers of Shapleigh; three sisters, Jodi Demers of Sanford, Shannon Demers of Lebanon and Sheree Beaudette of Saco; a niece, Alexis and two nephews, Evan and Blake.Visiting hours will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 PM with a funeral service taking place at 5:00 PM on Monday, July 28th wtih Pastor Rick Leach officiating at Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street in Springvale.
