Rita T. Demers

Rita Tanguay Demers, 85, died peacefully at Goodall Hospital on January 1, 2007.Mrs. Demers was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Wilbert Demers in 2001.She was a communicant of St. Ignatius Church. She was a member of the former St. Ignatius Guild, the Ladies of St. Ann and the Daughters of Isabella.Mrs. Demers leaves a legacy of love, kindness and caring to her family: a daughter Marguerite Levesque and her husband Michael of Sanford, grandson Philip Levesque his wife Melissa and their son Jeremiah of Nashua, NH, granddaughter Michelle Levesque of Sanford, grandson Peter Levesque of Cambridge, MA. She is also survived by 3 sisters, Olive Bergeron, Lillian Perreault both of Sanford, Helene Arsenault of Deerfield Beach, FL, 2 brothers Lionel Tanguay and Leon Tanguay, both of Sanford and several nieces and nephews.Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 5-7 PM at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11 AM at St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, St. Ignatius Church.
