Raymond L. Dashnaw

Raymond L. Dashnaw Sr., 76, of Springvale, died on August 27, 2016 at Gonsnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.He was born in Milton, Vermont on February 8, 1940, Where he grew up and attended local schools. He then enlisted in the Army and served from 1957 to 1960.Raymond worked as a welder at Hussey seating in North Berwick for 18 years. Being outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, trapping, fishing, and anything that would keep him busy outside. He was a member of the Rod and Gun Club in North Berwick.Raymond also spent a lot of time traveling around the country with his wife, including Florida and Oregon.He is predeceased by a step-son, Steven Rackliff and a grandson Wally Smith Jr. Survivors include his wife Marion, a daughter, Elizabeth Shaw, a son Raymond Jr., daughters, Lynn Simpson, Paula Deforge, and Theresa Gray, Step-children Ronald Rackliff, Donna Clark, Diane Arabie, Tammy Dyer, Theresa Blaisdell, and Patty Blaisdell,brothers Paul Dashnaw and Robert McGuire, twin sisters, Dora and Debbie, and sisters,Doris, Sarah, Janette, and special friend who was like a sister, Nancy Cox, also numerous grand children, great grandchildren, neices, and nephews.
