Donald Daigle

Donald Gene Daigle, 66, of Acton, passed away at his residence after his battle with cancer on Thursday August 25, 2011. He was born in Fort Kent on April 17, 1945, a son of the late Fred and Estelle (Madore) Daigle.He moved to Connecticut where he met his future wife, the former Barbara Grant. Don was well known because of his business in Sanford, D & L Transmission. He had many friends. He loved going fishing in the spring and playing cards on Wednesday's with his friends. They would get upset with him because he always won. He was also an avid Yankee Fan.He is predeceased by one son, Scott Daigle who passed away in 2003.He will be missed and loved by his wife of 47 years, Barbara Daigle of Acton, his sons and their spouses, George Daigle and his wife, Tammy of Lebanon, Donald Daigle and his wife, Judy of Sanford, grandchildren, Stephanie and her husband, Earl, Brandon and Kendra, one great grandson, Issac, mother in law, Dorothy Grant, siblings, Alphie, Elbridge, Andrew, Ann, Nancy, Diane, Thelma, Isabelle and Mary Jane.A funeral service will take place on Tuesday at 12noon at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale. An hour of visitation will begin at 11am until the time of the funeral service.
