Lillian E. Cyr, 90, of Springvale, died on Sunday, May 9, 2010 at The Lodges in Springvale.Lillian was born in Sanford on March 31, 1920 to Albert and Blanche (Fontaine) L'Heureux and attended local schools. She married Wilfred Cyr and together they raised four children. She worked for many years at the Sanford Dress Shop and at Sprague Electric in Sanford.Lillian was a deeply religious woman who enjoyed sharing her faith with others. She was a member of St. Ignatius Parish in Sanford. She was a very creative person who enjoyed making crafts and artwork, which she would often donate to church fairs. She liked listening to music and playing the keyboard, cooking, baking and playing beano. She also enjoyed entertaining guests, particularly having people over to watch the Fourth of July fireworks at her home by the river. Lillian had an excellent sense of humor and enjoyed joking with people. She will be remembered as a kind and loving woman and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Lillian was predeceased by her husband Wilfred Cyr, a son, Raymond Cyr and four brothers, Walter L'Heureux, Henry L'Heureux, Leo L'Heureux and Arthur L'Heureux.Surviving are three sons, Michael Cyr and his wife Joyce of Springvale, Normand Cyr and his wife Marge of Sanford and Robert Cyr of Biddeford; two brothers, Robert L'Heureux and his wife Theresa of Sanford and Normand L'Heureux and his wife Shirley of Alfred; a sister, Ann Vaccaro and her husband Tom of Rochester, NH; three sisters-in-law, Barbara L'Heureux of Springvale, Theresa L'Heureux of Sanford and Yvette L'Heureux of Sanford, seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 12th at St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, St. Ignatius Church.Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Waban Projects Inc., 5 Dunaway Drive, Sanford, ME 04073.Arrangements are under the direction of Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home in Sanford.To leave a message of condolence for the family please use the "condolences" tab to the left.
