Doris M. Cote

Doris M. Cote, 80, of Sanford, passed away on Wednesday May, 31, 2017 surrounded by her family at the Newton Center. She was born in Sanford on August 13, 1936 a daughter of the late Lucien and Laurette Gouin. She attended Holy Family School and was a lifelong communicant of the parish.She had formerly worked in the local shoe shops and at Eastern Plastics. On April 19, 1958 she married Raymond Cote and together for over 25years owned and operated Cote's Taxi. She was a member of the AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary.She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was an avid beano player. She also enjoyed playing cards and listening to music.She is predeceased by her husband, Raymond Cote who passed in 2006.She is survived by her children, Nancy Drouin and her husband, Rick of Sanford, Susan Lavallee and her husband, Ken of Sanford, Cathy Manuel and her husband, Michael of Sanford and Betty Kimball and her husband, Scott of Sanford, five grandchildren, Brittany Karahalios, Jessica Manuel, Nicholas Manuel, Samantha Donovan, Kelsey Lavallee, one great granddaughter, Evelynne Donovan, two brothers, Paul Gouin of Sanford and Roger Gouin and his wife, Barbara of Biddeford.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday June 6th at 10AM at St. Therese of Lisieux, Holy Family Church.
