Wade Ronald Cote, 46, from Sanford, ME, living in Milford, NH, passed away peacefully on Sunday April 23rd, 2017 at Maine Medical Center. He had been fighting heart disease for many years. Wade was born in Sanford on March 9, 1971, the son of Leona Cote and Ronald Chase. He attended St. Thomas Elementary School where he played basketball. He was an alter server at Holy Family Church for many years. Wade attended Sanford Jr. High and Sanford High School where he excelled in football earning the nickname "Cujo" for his fierce play on the field. He obtained his GED in 1990.Wade started working at the tender age of 11 delivering the Sanford News newspaper. He was very proud of the fact that he bought a bicycle from Goodrich's bike shop with his own money by the age of 12. He was a go-getter. He worked at various places including Kentucky Fried Chicken in Wells, Henri's Restaurant also in Wells and eventually spent a number of years at Spencer Press where he became the shipping department foreman. Later in his life he worked at Prime Tanning and worked construction before becoming disabled.Wade loved many things, the Dallas Cowboys, tequila and Metallica among others. He loved animals, especially his dear Rottweiler Lexus. He loved motorcycles, ATVs, Camaros and anything fast actually! He was very proud that he taught himself how to play electric guitar and loved listening to music. He also loved going to the movies with his brother Bob, visiting his brother Steve at various schools and "socializing" with classmates. Most of all, Wade loved his children and especially his grandson who was his little side kick. Wade always enjoyed being around his family and many friends. He was especially fond of his cousin Chad Chase, Kelly, Tlee and Nina. In the last year of his life Wade found true happiness with his girlfriend, Donna H. Flanagan, of Gorham, Maine.Wade is survived by his mother, Leona Cote of Sanford, ME; his daughter, Amber Single of Biddeford, ME and grandson Levi Single; a son, Tyler Cote of Stephenson, VA; his brothers, Robert Cote of Sanford, Steve Cote and his wife Debora Cote of Nashua, NH and his nieces, Julia and Sophia Cote. He is also survived by many aunts and unclesVisitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, April 26th at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home located at 580 Main Street in Springvale. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 27th at St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church, located on North Avenue in Sanford.
