Karen A. Coleman

Karen A. Coleman, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Sanford on Wednesday January 20, 2016. Karen had multiple chronic serious medical issues and was being treated for pneumonia at the time of her death.Karen graduated from Wells High School in June of 1993 and later went on to further her education at York County Community College in Wells.Karen is survived by her son, Elijah H. Coleman, her mother Kathy M. Cornish, her father, William L. Cornish all of Sanford. She is also survived by her brother, Robert L. Cornish and his wife, Elizabeth,of Acton, her sister, Angela S. Hayward of Marietta, Georgia, her nephews, Andrew R. Cornish, Daniel A. Cornish of Sanford. She is also survived by great niece and nephews, Mea Cornish, Tristan Cornish and Zander Cornish all of Sanford.Karen was a loving mother and daughter who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved her animals and she enjoyed reading. Her favorite authors were Dean R. Kuntz and James Patterson. Karen had a kind and loving heart and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.There will be a burial service in the spring where wonderful memories of Karen can be shared as we celebrate her life.Arrangements are under the direction of the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale.Condolences may be expressed at www.blackfuneralhomes.com
