Oscar Ducharme

Oscar E. Ducharme, 79, of Sanford, passed away on Saturday August 27, 2011 at the Kennebunk Nursing and Rehabilitation in Kennebunk. He was born in Portland on November 5, 1931 a son of the late Patrick and Jeanette (Valley) Ducharme.Mr. Ducharme served in the US Army during the Korean War. He retired from Wasco Products in Sanford after many years of service with the company. After retirement he enjoyed making bird houses.He is predeceased by his wife, Patricia (Landry) Ducharme who passed away in 1999, two brothers, Marcel and Leo Ducharme.Survivors include his children, Janet Ducharme of Lee, NH, Steve Ducharme of Shapleigh, Norm Ducharme of Sanford, Dawna Labrecque of Alfred, Cindi Jones of Lebanon, Michael Ducharme of Shapleigh and Lyn Ducharme of South Berwick, 13 grandchildren.A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 11am at Notre Dame Cemetery in Springvale.Arrangements are under the direction of the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale.Condolences may be expressed by clicking the condolences tab to the left.
