Gabrielle R McCarn

Gabrielle R. (Charpentier) McCarn, 89, passed away peacefully at The Lodges in Springvale, Maine on January 13, 2021. Gabe, as she was fondly called, was born on November 3, 1931 to Eva and Denis Charpentier of Sanford. She attended Sanford schools and married James C. McCarn of Sanford in 1953. They had a wonderful honeymoon in Niagara Falls. For the past years Gabe had made her home at The Lodges and considered them as Family. We are so thankful for all the love and support they've given to her through the years. Gabe was a wonderful Mother to her two sons, Steven and Mark. She always had very special memories of the childcare she provided to many children throughout the years. One always knew where you stood with Gabe! She was known to "raise the dickens" from time to time and loved to sing and dance. She always had a smile on her face and her laugh was contagious. Her door was always open to her friends and family.. Surviving are her two sons, Steven McCarn of Shapleigh and Mark McCarn and his wife, April, of Sanford, two grandchildren, Cruz and Aaron James McCarn, a Sister, Pauline Michaud and a brother, Ray Charpentier and many nieces and nephews that she was very fond of. She was predeceased by her loving husband, James. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 25 at 10:00 AM at St. Therese of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church in Sanford. Burial will be in the spring at St. Ignatius Cemetery.
