BIDDEFORD - Neal Douglas Booth, 54, of Biddeford, formerly of Portland, died unexpectedly of heart failure on Friday January 11, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Portland son of Edwin L. and Christine I. Rice Booth. He attended Portland schools and was a 1977 graduate of Portland High School. Neal worked at various trades throughout his life. He was a gifted guitarist and song writer. He will be remembered as a warm and friendly person. Neal was a deeply religious person. He was a communicant of Most Holy Trinity Parish in Saco.He loved camping and fishing, and especially enjoyed the annual family camping trips to Sebago Lake and Rangeley, Maine. Neal was predeceased by his parents and twin brothers, Lyn and Larry. Survivors include three sisters, Vivian Dougherty and her husband John of Portland, Vera Gibson and her husband James of Portland, Carol Gale and her husband Michael of Howell, NJ; six brothers, Edwin Booth and his wife Vickie of Portland, Ronald Booth and his wife Izzy of Windham, Carl Booth and his wife Cheri of Windham, David Booth and his wife Kathy of Portland, Peter Booth and his wife Diane of Berlin, NH, Paul Booth of Portland; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Visitation will be held Tuesday 4 to 7 p.m. at Conroy-Tully Crawford Funeral Home, 172 State Street, Portland. Prayers will be recited Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. followed by a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Pius X Church, 492 Ocean Avenue, Portland. Burial will be private in Calvary Cemetery, South Portland.
