SOUTH PORTLAND - Deborah Ann Berry, 76, of South Portland, died July 18, 2013, at Maine Medical Center, after a yearlong battle with cancer with her loving family by her side. She was born March 23, 1937, in Cornish, a daughter of John M. and Retha V. (Taylor) Seelye. Deborah was educated in Cornish and was a 1954 graduate of Fryeburg Academy. She worked for Tower Publishing, Seavey Printers, and she retired from Oakhurst Dairy as an office support person in 2002. Deborah enjoyed watching game shows, talent shows, and especially the Red Sox on television; and using computers for keeping in touch with her family and friends through email and Facebook. She always enjoyed family celebrations especially the 4th of July and Christmas and the family always looked forward to her potato salad. She was predeceased by her parents and a brother Maynard "Jack" Arthur Seelye. Surviving are: three sons, Daniel T. Greene and his wife Donna of South Portland, David B. Greene and his wife Nancy of Gray, Timothy M. Greene and his wife Karen of Acton; two sisters, Vivian R. Dustin of Cornish and Ruth E. Smith of Phoenix, AZ; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. An 11:00 a.m. graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 23, at Riverside Cemetery, Cornish. Arrangements are being handled by Conroy-Tully Crawford Funeral Home, 172 State Street, Portland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Deborah's memory to: Cancer Community Center, 778 Main Street, South Portland, Maine 04106.Online condolences may be expressed below.

  1. Dear Danny, Timmy and David, I was so sad to hear of your Mom’s passing, thank you so much for contacting my mother. I know I only got to see her on rare occasions, but we always exchanged Christmas Cards and letters around the holidays. I always looked forward to it.
