SCARBOROUGH AND SOUTH PORTLAND - Jason Park Atwood, beloved son of Theodore and Joanne Atwood passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 21, 2014, at his childhood home in South Portland. He was a graduate of South Portland High School, class of 1986. Following high school, Jason attended the University of Southern Maine and graduated with a BS in Business achieving a 3.8 GPA. Jason was very into cars, especially Corvettes. He attended many race at Beech Ridge and Louden. Jason lived for and adored his 10 year old son Park Joseph Atwood. They went to car shows, spent many days exploring Macworth Island, and touring the USS Albacore submarine in Portsmouth. He was predeceased by his father, Theodore Park Atwood just this past May. He was very close to his father and referred to him as my best friend. He has been despondent over his loss. Also predeceasing him was a favorite Uncle John D. Atwood of Boston and Orr's Island, ME. Jason is survived by his son Park; his mother Joanne M. Atwood; his sister Jennifer K. Atwood and nephew Jack William Goettel, all of South Portland; his grandmother, Mary J. Angis of Scarborough; aunts, uncles and many cousins. A period of visitation will be held from 2-3 p.m. on Monday, August 25th at Conroy-Tully Crawford South Portland Chapel, 1024 Broadway, South Portland, followed by a 3:00 p.m. service at the chapel. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Cemetery, South Portland.
