Old Orchard Beach- Ervin Paul Morin, 85, of Old Orchard Beach passed away peacefully, following failing health, on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at the Barron Center in Portland.
Ervin was born on November 10, 1932 in St. Francis, Maine, the son of the late Oscar I. and Annie M. (Jackson) Morin. In 1943 he moved with his family to South Portland and graduated from South Portland High School in the class of 1951.
Ervin joined the U.S. Navy after graduation and served with the 6th Fleet for four years. He was employed with the U.S. Postal Service in Portland, retiring in 1992.
His interests and hobbies included hunting, fly fishing, woodworking, gardening, and crossword puzzles. He also enjoyed watching the Celtics, Red Sox, and the New England Partriots.
Ervin was predeceased by two brothers, Reynold and Sheldon Morin; a sister, Corrinne Feeney; two stepchildren, Greg Nason and Kimberley-Jo Donahue. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Judith (Davis) Morin of Old Orchard Beach; two daughters, Pamela White of Gorham, and Cheryl Garland of Standish; two sons, Jeffrey Morin and his partner Jose of Jamaica Plain, MA, and Mark Morin and his wife Kerry of Dover, NH; five stepchildren, Stephen, Jeffrey, Roger, Scott, and Karen Nason; a sister, Anita Stivaletti and her husband Albert of Cumberland; two brothers, Roland Morin and his wife Jean of Cape Elizabeth, and Gerald Morin and his wife Maryann of Portland; and six grandchildren.
Visiting hours celebrating Ervin's life will be held on Monday, July 9, 2018 from 4:00 to 6:00pm at the Conroy-Tully Walker South Portland Chapel, 1024 Broadway, South Portland. A funeral service will held at the Chapel on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at 10:00am. Burial will be private.
