Lee Raymond Harthorne

Lee R. Harthorne, Sr. 1936-2022 FALMOUTH--Lee R. Harthorne, Sr., 85 of Falmouth, died Saturday February 12 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House. He was born in Lewiston November 11, 1936 the son of Raymond and Mona (Currier) Harthorne. He grew up around Portland and attended Deering High School. Lee served in the U.S. Navy from 1954 to from 1957 attaining the rank of Seaman. Lee married Sarah McLinden August 31, 1957. He worked in construction for a number of years and later worked building marine compasses for the Danforth Company. Lee enjoyed woodworking, carving, traveling and spending time with his grandchildren. Lee is survived by his wife, Sarah; his children, Lee R. Harthorne, Jr. and his wife Jacqueline of Scarborough and Lori Jones and her husband Christopher of Cumberland; his grandchildren, Angelina, Kali and Landin Harthorne as well as several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at a time to be announced in the spring at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Conroy-Tully Walker Funeral Home South Portland Chapel.
