Therese J. Bourassa

Portland - Therese J. Bourassa, 83, died on Monday, July 15, 2019, at St. Joseph's Rehabilitation and Residence. Therese was born on May 1, 1936, in Biddeford, the daughter of the late Florido and Juliette (Maurais) Poulin. She attended local schools and graduated from St. Joseph High School. After high school she worked at Butlers Shoe Store, a parts distributors store, Redwings Shoe Store as well as a special School Lunch Program until she retired in 2006. On April 12, 1958, Therese married Donald Bourassa at St. Joseph's Church in Biddeford. Therese was predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years, Donald Bourassa; and four siblings, Lorraine, Jeanne d'arc, Maurice, and Donald. She is survived by her daughter, Diane Rodney of South Portland; a brother, Richard Poulin and his wife Rachel of Rochester, NH; two grandchildren, Benjamin Rodney-Lyman, Marcus Rodney and his companion Audrey Kimball of FL; two great grandchildren, Paisley and Weston Rodney of FL; and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours celebrating Therese's life will be held from 11:30AM-12:30PM on Monday, July 22, 2019, at the Conroy-Tully Walker South Portland Chapel, 1024 Broadway, South Portland. A Funeral Service will follow in the chapel at 12:30PM. Burial will be at Brooklawn Memorial Park.
