Terry was born on April 22, 1961, in Portland, daughter of the late Aubrey and Gloria (Fleming) Young. Terry grew up in Windham Maine and graduated from Windham high school in 1979. She currently lived in Scarborough. Friends & family will always remember Terry’s Tremendous Sense of humor and her quick wit. Christmas was her favorite time of year and several years she hosted family on Christmas Eve. The highlight of the celebration was Terry’s version of “All I want for Christmas is you!” It was tradition and she nailed it every year!” Her greatest gift was her love for animals; she always had dogs in the house. Most recently, her little beloved Daisy Mae who passed about a year ago. Terry worked for 7 years at Hallmark and made dear friends there. Most recently, she worked at Oak Hill Beverage for the past 14 years. It wasn’t just a job to her… it was like working with family and she felt truly loved and appreciated. She met the delivery drivers at 7am, five days a week rain or snow didn’t stop her; OHB crew could count on Terry. She will be missed terribly by her co-workers and dear friends. Some of Terry’s passions were camping on Mount Desert Island for many summers, traveling to Florida and Puerto Rico, going on cruises in the Caribbean, & NASCAR racing. She held a lobster fishing license and worked on the Sylvia Francis and Blue Thunder. She enjoyed being in the Lobster Boat races on Blue Thunder for several years. Terry is predeceased by her nephew, Jeffrey Durgin; and canine companion, Daisy Mae; she is survived by her sisters, Debra Durgin, Donna and her husband David Cleaves, and Sandy Young; nieces and nephews, Andy and Josh Durgin, Dani Cleaves, and Jim Young; special great-niece, Paradise; and beloved dogs, Bronx and Brody.
