Teresa Lynn Kramer

teresa kramer
Gorham - Teresa Lynn Kramer, a loving and compassionate wife, mother and grandmother, was called to be with the Lord on June 18, 2023. Born on July 18, 1960, in San Fernando, CA, Terry was a dedicated and talented woman who devoted her life to her faith, family, and the service of others. Her love for Jesus was a guiding light throughout her life, and she found solace and comfort in the words of the Scripture: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13). Terry spent her early childhood in California before moving to South Portland, Maine in 1969. She enjoyed being on the swim team and graduated from South Portland High School in 1978. Terry and Jeff married in 1984 and built their life together in Gorham. She worked as a bank teller, always serving her customers with kindness and a warm smile. In her free time, Terry found joy in gardening, reading, and caring for her husband and their home. She had a special talent for creating beautiful fish tanks and was known for her crafty and creative nature. Terry had a big heart for animals and helped wounded creatures whenever she had the opportunity. Her love for her children and grandchildren was immense, and they were the highlight of her day. Terry’s devotion to her faith was evident in her involvement with her church family and friends. She was a shining example of God's love, as she exemplified the Scripture: "By this everyone will know that you are my disciples if you love one another" (John 13:35). Terry is survived by her devoted husband, Jeffrey Kramer; children; Amy Plourd, Jillian Varney, Katelyn (Bruce) Ordway, Joshua (Grace) Kramer; grandchildren, Logan and Luke Varney, Adelyn, Charlotte and Josiah Kramer, Everett Ordway; siblings, Gail Libby, Robert Libby, Jr.; mother-in-law, Nancy Kramer; brother and sister-in-law, Roger (Stephanie) Kramer; sister-in-law, Pamela Kramer; nieces, nephews and other loving family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Joyce Libby; father-in-law, Roger Kramer; and granddaughter, Lauren Varney. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her memory will live on in the hearts and lives of those she touched. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Conroy-Tully Walker Funeral Home, South Portland Chapel. The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 26, at 10:00 am at Deering Center Community Church, 4 Brentwood Street, Portland. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. We invite you to join us in celebrating Teresa's life, remembering her as a supportive, loving, and unforgettable individual. Guestbook

  1. To all the Kramer family especially Sarah and Elizabeth, my sincere condolences for your loss. Andrea Cesario and family

  2. I love and miss you dearly TereLynn. The Bible says that “the two shall become one flesh”. I understand that verse better than before because a huge piece of me is missing. I am grateful for the time we had together and the knowledge that you are with the Lord Jesus for all eternity. I will join you when my work is done here. Until then babyT, my heart is forever yours…

  3. A long, long time ago. Memorial Jr. High So. Portland, Maine. Teri, as she was known back then, and I had a “date” or two. I walked her home from school to Country Gardens on a few occasions. She was nice, quiet, pretty. She had beautiful long blonde hair and a nice smile. Lost touch after Jr. high. She was part of my “childhood”, I’ll remember her always and will post a picture here shortly of her from back then. Thank you Teri. Mark G.

  4. We came to know Terry and Jeff because God brought their son & our daughter together. Terry was the best mother-in-law our daughter could ever have been blessed with. She was truly one of the kindest, gentlest souls. Her life and her home were filled with beauty and grace which we believe came from her love for the Lord Jesus. Praying for comfort for Jeff and all the family. -Rick & Yvonne

  5. Jeff, The only relationship greater than that of a wife is that of a relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. Our days are numbered on this earth by the clock that ticks while heaven is eternal and timeless, One day we shall be reunited with the ones we love who are saved in Christ for ever more until that day my deepest heart felt love to you and your family. Roger & Steph

  6. I remember when I was young and even then aunt Terry loved her fish. And I had snuck downstairs and dumped an entire packet of. Fish Food. into the tank and ended up killing all of her fish but she never yelled at me. If memory serves she did show me how to feed fish after that. She was so kind and I will deeply miss talking about gardening with her and her generous spirit.

  7. There are so many memories to share; I think about the “critters” she saved, and it makes me smile. The wounded (and very angry)seagull she put in my backseat because we had to “take him somewhere”, the countless times she scolded us for thinking that squishing a creepy spider was a better option than gently ushering him outside, the baby ducklings stuck in the storm drain that she watched over (and finally figured out how to rescue), the two-way high speed traffic she single handedly stopped to allow a turtle cross the road- she approached all things (big or small) with love and kindness. She just made me better; she made us all better. She was a “constant” for me and so many others and I will miss her dearly. My deepest condolences and love to Jeff, Jill, Katie, Josh and the rest of the Kramer family.
    -Trish
