Scarborough- Leroy D. Pardue, 89, of Scarborough died January 9, 2019 at the Maine Veterans Home. He was born in South Portland, Maine on October 23, 1929, the son of the late Tom and Nellie (Loring) Pardue. He went to South Portland High School and then enlisted and served in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War, where he received a Purple Heart. Leroy played baseball for the Portland Twilight League as a pitcher and was known for pitching many no hitter games. Leroy was predeceased by the love his life, his wife, Rosalie (Richards) Pardue in 2008; a sister, Beverly Pardue; two brothers, Philip and Ronald Pardue. He is survived by his three daughters, Bonney and her husband Dennis Thurlow of North New Portland, Holly and her husband John Pollard of South Casco, and Laurey and her husband Scott Leighton of Buxton; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Leroy was a wonderful man and will be sadly missed by his loving family. At Leroy's request there will be no ceremony.
