Beatrice Helen McClay

Scarborough - Beatrice H. McClay, 89, died on Saturday, October 13, 2018, at Pine Point Nursing Home.
Beatrice was born in Newburyport, MA on July 19, 1929, the daughter of the late Arthur and Ruby (Roberts) Inman. She attended Valentine Elementary School and Bangor High School, graduating in the Class of 1947.
She married William Martin McClay on February 25, 1948 in St. Mary's Church in Bangor. Together they loved to travel and winter in Florida. Beatrice worked at the Ward Brothers and Maine Savings Bank. She loved to be involved in her children's lives and served as their Scout Leader. She also volunteered in the free time at the Cerebral Palsy Center.
Beatrice was predeceased by her loving husband, William; two sisters, Roberta Cody and Inez Emery; and a brother, Paul Inman.
She is survived by her children, Ron McClay and his wife Nancy of Marco Island, FL, Barbara Angelosante and her husband Mike of Old Orchard Beach, Jerry McClay and his wife Joanna of Old Orchard Beach; a sister in law, Connie Martin of Bangor; 7 grandchildren, Kathy, Ron, Billy, Scott, Philip, Erin, and Heather; 11 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 11AM on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, 150 Black Point Road, Scarborough. Burial will be held in the spring at Black Point Cemetery, Scarborough.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Conroy-Tully Walker Funeral Home of South Portland.
