Joseph H. Thompson, Jr

PORTLAND - Joseph H. Thompson, Jr. died on September 5, 2014, at Maine Medical Center. He was born in Portland on October 19, 1945, a son of Joseph H. Thompson, Sr. and Dorothy Thomas Thompson. He attended local schools and was a graduate of South Portland High School. He lived in North Carolina for ten years following graduation where he worked as an accountant. He later returned to the Greater Portland area where he worked at Burnham and Morrill's and also as a chef at the Barron Center. Joe was a former communicant of Holy Cross Church and was also a former member of the Knights of Columbus. Joe was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by a sister, Sharon L. McKeeman of Windham; a brother, John B. "Ben" Thompson and his wife Pearl, of Portland; three nieces, three nephews and eleven great-nieces and great nephews.
