SCARBOROUGH - Jeannette Catherine Sicard, 94, died on September 25, 2012, at Pine Point Center in Scarborough. She was born in Westbrook, on October 9, 1917, the daughter of Joseph N. and Elizabeth M. (Chaisson) Bellefeuille. Jeannette grew up in Westbrook and attended the St. Hyacinth School. In 1937 she married Roy J. Sicard. Jeannette was a homemaker and devoted to her family, and volunteered for many years at the Springbrook Health Care Center in Westbrook. She was also very active at St. Mary's Church in Westbrook, participating in Brownie's and the mother's club. Since moving to Scarborough, she became a communicant of St. Maximilian Kolbe Church. In her spare time, Jeannette enjoyed crafts and knitting. In addition to her parents, Jeannette is predeceased by her beloved husband of 53 years Roy J. Sicard; son, Philip C.; sister, Eleanor Henckel; and brothers, Wilfred and Raymond Bellefeuille. She is survived by daughter, Jean Delano of Scarborough; son, Donald D. Sicard of Lisbon Falls; daughter-in-law Sylvia C. Sicard of Rochester, NH; sister, Gabrille Murray of Westbrook; 9 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 11 great great grandchildren. Visiting hours will be held from 5-7 pm on Thursday, September 27 at Conroy-Tully Crawford South Portland Chapel, 1024 Broadway, South Portland. Prayers will be recited 9:15 am on Friday, September 28, 2012, at the chapel, followed by a 10 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, 150 Black Point Rd., Scarborough. Interment will follow in St. Hyacinth Cemetery, Westbrook.Online condolences may be expressed below.

  3. We just want to thank you for being the best Grandmother anyone could ask for.You accepted everyone for who they were and made everyone feel like they were family. When Kathy and I got married, I got to spend the night before with you, when I had reconstruction surgery on my knee- we spent the following week with you and we spent the night with you at your summer cottage celebrating the July 4th fireworks on the beach.
