Alfred- Lawrence E. Noone, 76, of Gore Road, died peacefully on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at the Gosnell Hospice House with his loving family by his side. Larry was born in Rochester, New Hampshire on February 11, 1939 the son of the late John Noone and Myrtle H. Perkins. He graduated from South Portland High School in the class of 1958. In 1960 he moved to East Hartford Connecticut to pursue a career in the aircraft engine industry. His 39 year career with Pratt Whitney, a division of United Technologies, included many different positions. He started as a welder and his final position, before retirement, was as a Continuous Improvement Coordinator for the North Berwick facility. On February 14, 2004, Larry married Vyara T. Stefanovain Alfred, Maine. Together they shared many happy times with family and friends. In his spare time, Larry enjoyed playing golf, hunting and fishing and was very active in his community. Larry was predeceased by a sister Carol Lovejoy and two brothers David and John Noone. He is survived by his wife Vyara T. Noone of Alfred; three daughters Kimberly Coutinho of Walpole, MA, Kristen Noone of West Hartford, CT, Jean Noone Binette of Lyman, ME; two sons Karl and his wife Tracy Noone of Groton, MA, Caleb Noone of Memphis, TN; a stepson Alexander Kouzev of Bulgaria; two sisters Beatrice Condon of Portland, Priscilla Cayer of PA; seven grandchildren Nicholas and Benjamin Coutinho of Walpole, MA, Tyler and Jack Noone of Groton, MA, Lily and Cole Binette of Lyman and Nikolay Kouzev of Bulgaria; many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2015 from 1:00 to 3:00pm at the Conroy-Tully Crawford South Portland Chapel, 1024 Broadway. A service will follow at 3:00pm at the funeral home.   2. My sincere condolences to Larry’s family. Larry was a character, a truly unforgettable person, and somebody that always had a smile for those that deserved it. I knew him from work, but more so on the golf course. One always knew when there was a questionable shot if Larry was in the foursome. He did not hold back, for sure, and he kept you on your toes! I made certain that I knew the rules of golf, thanks to Larry. He will be missed. Jennifer Morrill
