Jeffrey Quinn Douglas

September 27, 1991 ~ March 12, 2016
South Portland-Jeffrey Quinn Douglas, 24, passed away unexpectedly on March 12, 2016. Jeffrey, who battled depression and bipolar disorder for many years, graduated from Scarborough High School in 2010 and lived in South Portland. Jeffrey was known for his colorful way with words, sharp wit and clever sense of humor. He often sent funny quotes or sayings to his friends and family, just to make them laugh. He enjoyed the outdoors, riding on four-wheelers at his grandparents farm and going mudding in Clifford, his big red pick-up truck. He also loved hanging out with friends, playing guitar hero and video games, listening to music and being with his dog, Tewkey. Jeffrey was not afraid of hard work, and took great pride in what he accomplished as he learned various carpentry skills. Jeffrey had his share of challenges, but through it all, remained a loyal friend, a protective big brother, a doting uncle and a loving son. If you knew Jeffrey, please hold him close in your heart, and pray he is at peace. Jeffrey will be forever missed by his mother, Patricia Quinn and her partner Michael Rothaupt of Falmouth, his father and step mother Ronald and Donna Douglas of Hope, his sister, Amanda Douglas and his nephew Jason Dow. He leaves behind paternal grandparents Willard and Joan Douglas of Wilton and was predeceased by maternal grandparents Robert and Gladys Quinn of Taftville, Connecticut. He will also be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and of course, his Tewkey. Visiting hours will be 4:00 7:00 PM, Thursday, at Conroy-Tully Crawford South Portland Chapel. 1024 Broadway, South Portland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM, Friday, at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, 150 Black Point Road, Scarborough. Burial will be private. Condolences to Patricia, Robald, and Amanda. I hold you all close to my heart, and have done so since you have opened your home to me, and showed me what it was like to be concidered family. Jeff is the first person who has shown me what it means to be a true friend, and what loyalty means. I am forever greatful for the memories, the laughter, endless hours of hitman and guitarhero, and airsoft in the basement. To the family of Jeffrey Douglas,I went through the Scarborough school system with Jeff- all the way from Blue Point to Scarborough High School. I also spent many summers at Summer Rec and went to many childhood birthday parties with him. He was someone who always made other kids feel welcome and was guaranteed to make you laugh with his sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by me, as well as his former classmates. Sincerely,Katelyn (Brett) DeBardino
