Portland - Andrew J. Fontaine, 42, left the physical world on Friday, February 22, 2019 after a brief illness. He was born in Portland on November 19, 1976. He is survived by his daughter, Ruby Fontaine of New York; mother, Regina Fontaine of Old Orchard Beach; siblings, Jane Fontaine of New York, Carrie Anne Fontaine of Portland, Jennifer Fontaine of Portland, Jimmy Fontaine and wife Ann Albano of Portland; nieces and nephews, Sierra Fontaine and husband Andrew Mazze of Cambridge, MA, Scarlett Fontaine-Lynch of New York, Alec Dodge of Portland, A.J. Dodge of Portland, and Alexandra Albano-Fontaine of Portland. His family asks that all who knew him to keep his memory in your thoughts and in your hearts. Visiting Hours celebrating Andrew's life will be held from 4-7PM on Wednesday, February 27 at the Conroy-Tully Walker Funeral Home, 172 State Street, Portland. In lieu of flowers, be kind to one another.

  1. Wow i am still in shock..one of the biggest crushes of my younger years. Remembering west end days and zootz club nites. Everytime i hear Life of Agony or remember him singing.He was so special.I wish him peace and comfort. I send many prayers and best of wishes for the family. My heart goes out to you all.   2. I have so many memories of Andrew, the one I want to share is when we were teenagers whenever Andrew saw me out walking at night he would always ask me where I was going and walk me there. He never liked me walking alone in the dark. That always made me giggle, because our neighborhood was pretty safe. He was such a great guy with a huge heart. My nickname for him was always “handsome”. His smile and dimples always lit up a room Thinking of Regina, Jane, Carrie-Ann, Jen and Jimmy. I send my love to you all
