Henry J. Wolyniec

henry wolyniec
Portland- Henry was born in New York, raised in Westchester, and called Maine home for nearly three decades. He lived every day as he wanted, usually in his studio, making art-even during his two years with brain cancer. His life was full of deep pleasures: family, friends, food, movies, books, ideas, conversation, curiosity. There was no bucket list. Or, as he most certainly would have said, no ******* bucket list. Henry's greatest creation was his son Otto, a collaboration with his wife Jessica Tomlinson. In accordance with his wishes, there will be no formal service.

  1. I have many beautiful memories with Henry. I remember I was 2 years younger than Henry and I was on a athletic bus going to the high school . I looked out the window and saw Henry… at that moment I fell in love. He was my first love…. I feel in love with him because he was authentic, loving, caring and expressed himself with his beautiful art. Today I found out he passed away …I m so sorry to hear this.. so sorry Paula… you were a wonderful sister. Your parents were beautiful people as well. The irony is I became an adoptive parent, so Henry is always with me. To his son and wife, I’m so sorry. Bless you all Karen Dugan Willman

  2. My first love. You were authentic before anyone knew what the word meant. I think of you always… God bless your family and especially your son Otto.
