She possessed a great knowledge of antiques and glassware and would spend hours scouring antique shops, flea markets and yard sales searching for pieces to add to her collection. She loved to travel, shopping trips, or even going to the grocery store. Joanne loved animals, especially dogs and her special friend Tinkerbell, and volunteering many hours at the food pantry. Joanne was a quiet person but will be remembered as very selfless and kind. Even though she was not rich in pocket, she was very generous in heart and would give whatever she could. Joanne always had a great deal of love to give to others. Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Although we only met Joanne a few times, we will always remember her kindness & caring way she was with our grandson Josiah & how much she loved her special Tinkabelle. Joanne left a lasting memory with our son Jarad, Hilary & Hudson. She meant as much to them as I know they meant to her. May her kind soul rest beautifully in peace. Robin & Gene “Pal”

  2. Have known you since we worked at Fairchild Semiconductor in the late 6o’s. Going down to OOB after work in your Mustang still brings a smile to my face. You will be missed and thought of often. You left us with many memories of you but not very many pictures. My deepest sympathy to her family. Thank you Sarah Doten for your kindness and for being there when Jo needed you.

  4. I knew Joanne when we worked for the same company, Digital Equipment Corporation, with her in Massachusetts and me in Colorado. She gave me some rose quartz stones to protect our new home when we moved in over 25 years ago. She also shared some Chakra crystals and stones when I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1989. I believe I am here today because of Joanne’s wisdom, kindness and generosity. It is hard to believe we knew each other over 30 years! Like the obituary said, she was generous in heart. She was also very young at heart. I had no idea there was a 7 years difference in our ages. When I met with her while on business trips to MA, we felt so connected and like twins. She was so much fun to be around. My condolences to Joanne’s family and friends. Thank you Sarah for reaching out and letting me know of Joanne’s passing. It is never easy to share this information over the phone and you did an incredible job. Thank you again. Love you Joanne!
